About Your Donations, Where & How They are used
There are no paid persons within the Clean Kids Backpack Program. Our whole staff is 100 percent dedicated volunteers for the benefit of homeless school children. We use the funding to help expand the program and increase inventories for distribution. There are travel expenses for pickups and distribution of items, and portions of our funding also go directly to the homeless department of a school district to help them function effectively and cover costs for hygiene items they procure. We also use some cash donations for temporary shelter at hotels. Plus, our program sometimes gives gas money to families living in their cars. Please note: Donations may be tax deductible, see your tax expert for more information.
